Celebration of Life

Quite simply you have choice.

A celebration of life can be held in a place that may be special to you or have a significant meaning.

Celebration of Life Ceremonies

A celebration of life is becoming increasingly popular for those who want freedom of choice and no restrictions.  As with any Celebrant led ceremony, there are no rules or regulations.

Quite simply you have choice.

The ceremony can also be held at any time that is right for you. It could be as an alternative to a funeral, an internment or scattering of ashes, or simply as a celebration with friends and family that is filled with much love.

My Job

This is an incredibly emotional time, so my job is to listen to what you want. My role is to write and deliver a ceremony full of love and compassion.

I will spend as much time as required to ensure that we make this ceremony a celebration of the life of your loved one. There are no time constraints with the ceremony. We can include personal readings, music and stories that make you smile. Laughter and tears both hold a place.

Most importantly I want to ensure that my role as a Celebrant brings you support and that the ceremony I deliver for you brings some form of comfort.

Tara the Celebrant conducting a celebration of life ceremony

Kind words

“I want to extend my sincerest thanks to Tara for her compassionate and thoughtful role as the celebrant at my father’s (Harold) Celebration of Life service. Her warm demeanour, careful attention to detail, and the sensitivity with which she guided the service brought immense comfort to everyone present.

Dad’s service was a deeply personal and meaningful event, and we owe that in large part to Tara’s dedication and professionalism. If you are looking for a celebrant who truly cares and can transform a service into a memorable and comforting experience, Tara is undoubtedly the right choice.

Thank you, Tara, for making Dad’s celebration of life as special as he was.”

The House Family,
January 2025

“From the moment we heard Tara speak on the BBC Radio Bristol interview, we knew she ‘got it’ and would deliver what we wanted.

Mum had always told us that, when the time came, she did not want us to be sad because she’d had a long and wonderful life. She wanted a happy occasion to mark her passing, with food and drink for all – a celebration of her life, if you will. From our first telephone call, Tara was calm and kind and empathetic. She really listened to us… Tara understood exactly what we were trying to achieve and helped us shape an event which would enable family and friends to pay their respects and remember Mum in a slightly different way and place. Tara was a great comfort to us on the day, spoke eloquently and calmly, keeping us all on track with the various speeches and tributes we had prepared and provided us with the confidence to do our speaking bits. We received lots of lovely feedback and Tara was acknowledged in it all.

So thank you Tara for facilitating a wonderful Celebration of Life event for our Mum. We will always have positive and uplifting memories of this day, just as Mum always wanted for us.”
